EDIL TT-N/TP-N

Edilmatic’s Advanced Anti-Seismic Reinforcement Systems Offered in Turkey by Inovasismik

High-performance seismic reinforcement for every structural need—delivered with precision and expertise. Inovasismik proudly offers Edilmatic’s top-tier seismic reinforcement solutions to the Turkish market. With a focus on non-invasive installation and high mechanical performance, Edilmatic’s connectors ensure that both pre-cast and existing structures remain safe and stable during seismic activity. These systems are engineered to dissipate seismic energy, enabling controlled and limited displacements, thus avoiding severe structural damage.

EDIL T.T. – Roof-Beam Connection System – Energy Dissipation System

The EDIL T.T. Roof-Beam Connection System is a “ductile” system designed for connecting roof panels to edge beams. Its use prevents the roof from losing its support on the beam without altering the existing static configuration.

The system primarily consists of steel tubes that are assembled and deformed at the ends, where fastening holes are made. The system is designed to allow (significant) relative displacements between the elements during a seismic event.

Additionally, the use of the EDIL T.T. system limits the forces transmitted to the structures by enabling plastic deformation of the outer curved elements. The inclination of the ends can be adjusted based on the geometry of the elements to be connected.

Technical Specs:

  • Axial Project Force (X-axis): 20 kN
  • Displacement: ±12.5 mm
  • Fastening: Anchors M12/M16

EDIL T.T. Applications

The EDIL T.T. retention system is intended for roof-to-beam connections. One end is fixed to the top surface of the beam, while the other end is attached to the side of the roof panel using anchors. Once installed, the connection is easily inspectable and accessible for any maintenance operations.

The EDIL T.T. retention system is constructed with common steels as specified in NTC 2008. It can be supplied with electrolytic cold galvanizing (white galvanization) or painted.

EDIL T.P. – Beam-Column Connection System – Energy Dissipation System

The EDIL T.P. Beam-Column Energy Dissipation System is an enhanced version of the EDIL T.T. Roof-Beam connection. It is designed specifically for beam-to-column connections. The purpose of this system is to ensure a bilateral support between the ends of the beams and the top of the columns, while maintaining the pre-existing static configuration. The construction method is identical to that of the EDIL T.T. connection, utilizing appropriately assembled steel tubes with fastening holes at the ends. The dimensions are necessarily increased compared to the EDIL T.T. as the masses of the elements to be connected (mass of the element and corresponding masses from structural and non-structural permanent loads it carries) are significantly higher.

This is also a “ductile” system, designed to limit the forces transmitted to the structures during seismic events by allowing plastic deformation in the outer curved elements. The EDIL T.P. connection should also be used in cases where there are existing pin connections between the beam and column, as these connections have proven insufficient to transfer the forces generated by design-level seismic events.

EDIL T.P. Features

The EDIL T.P. system is intended for beam-to-column connections. One end is fixed to the underside of the beam, while the other end is attached to the side of the column using anchors. Once installed, the connection is easily accessible and inspectable for any maintenance operations.

  • Technical Specs:
    • Axial Project Force: 72 kN
    • Displacement: ±12.5 mm
    • Fastening: Anchors M20/M24

Chemical Anchor

The EDIL T.P. connection is constructed with common steels specified in NTC 2008. The main technical characteristics and applicable standards are listed in the table below. It can be supplied with electrolytic cold galvanizing (white galvanization) or painted.
